Training

Manuel and his team provide all training.

Owner and head trainer, Manuel Villanueva has an extensive understanding of canine behavior. Because of this knowledge, Mr. Villanueva is the only civilian certified to train K9s for the police departments. Trainers and handlers across the country and abroad consult Mr. Villanueva — a recognized leader in his field.

With his background of over 15,000 dogs trained, you can be assured that your experience with Mr. Villanueva will be a positive, lifelong gift to yourself and your pet.

Free Puppy Training

Attend our one hour free group seminar and learn about positive reinforcement and basic training skills to start developing a well rounded and obedient dog. We recommend to start at 3 and a half months to instill good habits in your puppy to obtain dependability and control. Please call for details.

Private Lessons

Both pets and owners enjoy this one-on-one training course, with just you and the trainer. If your dog has a behavior problem or you simply want to have better control over your dog, sign-up today!

Group Classes at Oceanside Pet Hotel

 We start a group class every month. Our group is held on Thursday nights, please call for details.

Group Classes at Fon Jon Pet Care Center

Our group class is held on Saturdays at 11AM at Fon Jon Pet Care Center, and on Saturdays at 5PM at Oceanside Pet Hotel. This basic obedience course is limited to 8 dogs per group. Please enroll in advance.

In-Lodge Training

This program lasts 15 days during which time the dog is lodged at our facility. At the end of the 15 days, the owner attends 2-3 private lessons in order to learn the proper handling techniques.

Day Camp Training

This program will allow you to take your dog home every night. Here’s how it works:

  • You drop your dog off in the morning before 9am and you pick-up after 5pm
  • Your dog will learn the basic commands
  • The course duration is one week
  • This course must start on a Monday and end on a Friday
  • At the end of the course you must attend one private lesson to learn the proper handling technique

 

Introbedience

 Learn basic Canine Psychology

  • Establish pack leadership
  • Learn the proper method to communicate with your dog and solve behavior problems
  • Classes start every month 

†Requirements:

 Must register for class within 60 days of adoption date.

  • Dogs must be at least 5 months old
  • Proof of vaccines must be presented
  • Handler must attend first class
  • Must pre-register (class is limited)
  • Adoption documentation must be presented
